| The McGrath Foundation | ||||||
| The McGrath Foundation was founded in 2002 by Jane McGrath after her initial recovery from breast cancer. After being re-diagnosed in 2003, Jane realised the importance of breast care nurses and the difference they made in the support they provided her. The two main objectives of the McGrath Foundation are to raise money to place breast care nurses in hospitals right across rural and regional Australia and to educate women to become breast aware. The Foundation’s Executive Director, Tracy Bevan said, "The McGrath Foundation was established with two goals in mind – namely to raise funds to support the placement of McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia, while at the same time increasing breast awareness in younger women". "We’re incredibly pleased that Community First Credit Union has come on board as our friend in creating and issuing the McGrath Foundation Pink Visa card and only hope that people will see this as an easy way to get on board with an initiative that helps us continue our work. Always remember that together, we can make a difference.” To find out more about the McGrath Foundation, visit www.mcgrathfoundation.com.au | ||||||
